This former gold ore processing mill site once supplied Colorado Springs with economic life, but it became an environmental and
economic drain when it ceased operation in the mid-twentieth century. A team of consultants led by N.E.S. Inc. designed a new community based on new urbanist
principles to revitalize the site and surrounding area. A gridded street system anchors the plan in history while open spaces,
parks, and community amenities provide a heart to this new neighborhood.
